As we are sure you have heard, last Friday (March 11) Japan experienced an extremely strong earthquake which affected Tohoku district. Fortunately Tokyo was spared from major damage and our office and warehouse are both relatively undamaged and our staff are all safe.
Some residual effects from the earthquake may still affect our store in the near future with regards to products arriving on time at our warehouse, shipping times from Japan, restricted use of electricity, etc and we ask for your kind patience and understanding while we all work to get things back to normal. Please note that we are not located in the "blackout" zone, so there should be no downtime on our site.
With regards to packages that have previously been shipped out, our store has not received any information regarding damage or loss to parcels during last Friday's earthquake. We of course cannot say with 100% certainty that all shipments are safe, but we have received notification from the Japan Post that as of March 14 business will resume as normal and there should not be any problems with order or shipment outside of general delays caused by the earthquake and its resulting impact.
If you are concerned about your order we would recommend checking the Japan Post's official English page at this address: http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/index_en.html Any relevant information regarding delays in service will be posted there first. Unfortunately our store will be unable to request or receive information on individual parcels shipped on or before March 11th at this time and as such we will be unable to provide additional information regarding previously shipped orders or their current location/status.
We thank you for your concern as well as your patience and understanding as we work to bring things back to normal.
Best regards,
AmiAmi
